Emdros - the database engine for analyzed or
annotated text
Home - What is Emdros?
Emdros is a:
text database engine for
analyzed or annotated text.
Emdros is well suited to distributing static databases of
textual and image content on mobile and desktop platforms.
Emdros has a powerful query language which makes it easy for
the programming team to think about, talk about, and create and use
databases that cater to text in a natural way.
Emdros is very fast, due to its underlying model of text.
Emdros's database model of text is generic, and supports
almost any kind of text plus information about that text (markup,
analyses, annotations, meta-data, etc.).
Emdros started out as being applicable especially in
linguistics, corpus linguistics, and
computational linguistics. However, its usefulness
transcends these domains widely.
Emdros is Open Source and Free Software (Libre Software).
